My Youth Pastor's Bright Idea
On our first episode, Scott talks to Jed about his childhood experiences with fundraising activities, including a light bulb fundraiser for his downtown OKC church youth ski trip. Selling light bulbs door-to-door, is a tough gig. A tough, absurd gig. We start at the end after cornering former youth pastor, Robert Price and pressing him for the answers. It's some cart before the horse stuff since Scott and Jed had already given their theories. But it worked for Columbo. It works here. And well, we couldn't get Rob on the phone earlier.
We eventually learn helpful tips for making extra money while selling school chocolate. And Jed makes the case that some are better than others when getting kids to sell for the school. Oh, and Jed (for some reason) took home ec in the 9th grade?
